Each course can be adapted for individual schools and their specific requirements and (subject to availability) could fit around the school day or be a part of the extended school programme. Outcomes are centred around personal and team development, creativity and innovation, exploring social challenges in the context of the community and wider environment.


The programmes are applicable to students of all academic levels including those deemed hard to engage, borderline performers, at risk of failing or being excluded and those identified as gifted and talented.


Youth Development Academy

A 12 week development programme designed to increase self-esteem and enhance understanding of oneself and personal image. Exploring strategies for effective team building, organising, planning and conflict management. The program further assists young people to explore; self respect and ethical sexual interaction, prepare life plans, goal setting, positive rites of passage and celebrating differences. This program compliments the Citizenship and PHSE programme.



Cash 4 Kids – Financial Management for Young People

An interactive 6 week program to promote effective financial management for young people. Students will learn how to manage income including; budgeting, saving and investment plans and the consequences of each. Other practical experiences will include opening a bank or savings accounts, writing cheques, using credit cards, taking out loans, mortgages, hire purchase arrangements etc.



Health and Social Care in Practise

An experiential bespoke course to suit the needs to individual schools and students to access our Children’s Nursery and Home Care service to support curriculum activities. Students will get an insight into the setting up, management and administration involved in delivering social and health care to vulnerable clients and the day to day operation of a 36 place day nursery for pre-school children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Delivery of the Race Equality Foundations evidenced based 13 Week Parenting Programme which is appropriate for teaching staff and parents alike. The Programme aims to raise the consciousness of parents by following a curriculum to help families develop or promote; strong ethnic and cultural roots, positive parent-child relationships, a range of life skills, self esteem, self discipline and social competence and ability to access community resources.



Nanny’s Day Nursery

A 36 place day nursery providing quality childcare for children aged 3 months - 5 years. The nursery opens: Monday - Friday from 7.30am - 6.15pm

A caring, stimulating and child friendly environment, where play, learning and development is combined to enhance the holistic wellbeing of children. The nursery has a garden that provides ample play area, which includes safety surfaces. We have an open door policy, which means that you can drop in and see what activities are taking place at your convenience.

Each staff member cares for a small group of children divided broadly by age and individual ability. In these groups the children can enjoy a variety of activities which will promote their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.

Three meals a day are provided and snacks, milk/water are provided throughout the day. Nannys' Day Nursery is open 51 weeks a year.

Biz E Kids

A 12 week modern business program designed to develop awareness, interest and entrepreneurial skills in business through formal learning, interactive components and practical delivery. The project helps to better illustrate the application of subjects generally undertaken within an academic setting i.e. maths and the relationship to business, social, political and wider contexts and will seek to expose the student’s entrepreneurship. Students are able to apply their learning to “real life” challenges including; starting a business, investing in the stock exchange and purchasing shares.



Music, Business & Arts (MBA) Program

This program normally appeals to young people who, especially those who are more artistic, creative and may have rapping or singing skills. This urban arts program encourages positive creative expression through, role plays, writing skills, lyrical content, computer graphics and many more exciting and innovative technology. The practical element of the program includes recording the work created in professional recording studios and may include the creation of a music video. Further opportunities to market the end product are explored. This program is used to enhance learning and review topics that affect social development.



Transit Program 6-2-7

A 13 week program primarily for year 7 (and struggling year 8) students which helps to support their transition from year 6-2-7, which includes a buddy programme with older students assisting younger peers to overcome any fears of their new school, new routines, leaving old friends etc. The programme further assists the creation of positive peer groups, grasping new subjects and generally coping with being a small fish in a big pond. The programme also enables year 7’s to carve an aspirational path for themselves, explore new goals and take advantage of opportunities to develop, grow and fulfil their potential.



Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) START – Young Peoples Programme

Delivery of the Race Equality Foundations START programme which is based on the principles and ethos of the parenting programme for 10 to 18 year olds. START enables children and young people to explore relationships with their peers, families and their communities in order to develop supportive relationships. They further explore identity, develop self esteem and active citizenship skills, they learn appropriate strategies for coping with stress and conflict and identify risky behaviour and strategies for dealing with them including solution building.
