We provide an alternative for students experiencing challenges in a statutory learning environment. ACE Academy works with young people who are either excluded or at risk of exclusion and require a more tailored level of support. A person centred approach is adopted, this is entwined with regular parent / guardian liaison. This process is referred to as STeP – (Student, Teacher, Parent).
The primary objective is to:-
- • Prepare children for learning, with mentors
- • Return them back to school with support.
Rules without Relationship lead to Rebellion
At the heart of ACE is the caring relationships and respect developed with each student which is the catalyst to their development.
Cultural Sensitivity
Statistics indicate that boys from the BME community are most likely to be over represented in categories of those at risk of failing, excluded, or have behavioural issues. ACE is committed to address cultural and ethnic sensitivities with students and families.
